Many Fibromyalgia sufferers are getting spine treatment these days. According to patients, Spine therapy is helping them a lot. People with severe back pain tend to use Spine therapy in order to get temporary relief from Back Pain.
Almost 43% of all the fibromyalgia patients have severe back Pain. Fibromyalgia Patients also tend to use Epidural steroid injections frequently in order to get rid of Severe Back Pain or Backbone problem. According to researchers, Epidural injections may give you temporary relief but they are not good for your body in a longer run.
Although Spine treatments like Epidural Steroid Injections, Spine therapy or facet joining interventions are very popular these days but these treatments also have their drawbacks. According to the medical community, Success rate of these treatments are very low. Right Now the failure rate for these treatments is around 40% which means about 40 people out of hundred does not get any benefit from these treatments, The remaining may get temporary relief but these treatments do not have long term benefit.
According to a recent study, It is found that poor results of Spine treatments are mainly because of the histroy of spine surgery, the use of the opioids as a medication, Depression, Duration of the symptoms and Young age.
One of the most common cause of fibromyalgia which is widely accepted is abnormal pain processing by the central nervous system. According to Medial Community, This condition might be the reason why spine treatment is a failure on fibromyalgia patients.
Study Shows that Fibromyalgia patients have low levels of pain-inhibiting neurotransmitters and high levels of neurotransmitters that increase pain sensations. Due to this reason, Spine treatments have a very low success rate in fibromyalgia patients.
Because of the low success rate of spine treatments, People are moving towards some other forms of medication to get relief from back pain.
A common example is the use of anti-depressants medication like serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors to treat lower back pains. Doctors mostly suggest patients to adopt a light workout regime which patients usually don’t do because they are already in Pain.
The accurate readings of studies for proper treatments can be found with the help of more tests using spine injections and the use of neuroimaging. The limitations of the study are its cross-sectional and single site design.
A lot of research has been going on to find a proper cure for fibromyalgia. Patients are trying their best to get relief from all this pain and fatigue. People affected with fibromyalgia are getting increased day by day but still, there is no proper recognition/Cure for this medical condition.
Fibromyalgia totally changes your life. Its a combination of thousands of symptoms which actually makes your life a living hell. My Whole body hurts like hell. You can’t get a night of proper sleep. Even the slightest touch will hurt like hell. Sometimes even breathing hurts.
In the medical Community, Fibromyalgia is still a mystery because doctors are unable to find the root cause of it. One cannot find a proper cure unless he/she knows what’s causing it.

I have severe fibromyalgia and trying to get disability benefits from the state of North Carolina is a joke so I have to work in agonizing pain on a daily basis. Some days I have to crawl in the the house from my car.
I am also in NC. It is a pain (no pun intended) to get disability in NC. I was 48 when I started. The magic age is 50. I had a WONDERFUL disability lawyer from Durham. Mr. Wittenberg. 1-800-277-3003 or 919-683-2436.If you are considering disability you should give him a call. He charges 25% of your backpay ONLY IF he wins your case. Good luck and I wish you pain free days.
ROBIN HOWELL…I FEEL SO SORRY FOR YOU AND I DO BELIEVE YOU CRAWLING .I HAVE BEEN THERE..bless you.and I hpe your disability comes soon….I also am praying for a cure for all of us and a release of better treatment…
I think it’s crazy what they put us through I left my job the end of October of 2014 because I just could not work any longer file for disability they gave me my disability in September of 2016 they would have had to pay me all that back money for the two years that I was out of work but instead they gave it to me one month before my 2 years so got nothing for the two years that I was out of work I am thankful that I got it I did use a lawyer so I think that helped but they made me go to their doctors a psychiatrist an orthopedist all kinds of different doctors and I was already seeing a rheumatologist and pain management for the same thing fibromyalgia or rheumatoid arthritis good luck I hope you get it as soon I know your struggles I live in Connecticut
Could you cite or email me the studies that are referenced in this article to show my doctor? Or leave the studies in these comments at least.
